Gauges
These gauges were exclusively supplied by Smiths to Ford Advanced Vehicles for the GT40 project. I have in my possession all the original drawings, technical logs and microfische. Contrary to popular myth, these gauges are identified on the cardboard log cards as being solely specific to the GT40 MK 1.
The logs contain many hundreds of other cards that detail which vehicle models share a certain gauge. As you will see from the log card below, the gauges were solely GT40 specific. Each gauge has the correct 'scarlet' paint code inside the body of the gauge and exact serial numbers. Can be supplied with extra long capillaries.
The Cav Ammeter is an NOS part and is becoming increasing hard to find now. Below is posted an original example of the detailed technical log for in this case, the Fuel Level gauge.
